Depending on how you use WinPig, we may collect the following categories of personal data:

• Identity & contact: first name, last name, email address, phone number, and country.
• Account: login credentials (password stored in encrypted form), account status, region preferences, and verification records.
• Delivery & fulfilment: postal address and related contact details when you win a prize and submit a claim so we or our merchant partners can deliver your prize.
• Payment & subscription: subscription status, billing region, payment provider references (for example GoCardless mandate/subscription IDs or Stripe customer/subscription IDs). We do not store full bank card or bank account numbers on our servers; payment details are handled by our payment providers.
• Competition activity: entries, quiz answers, draw results, winner claims, and related timestamps.
• Marketing preferences: whether you opt in to platform newsletters or merchant marketing communications.
• Technical & usage: IP address, browser/device information, cookies, and logs used for security, fraud prevention, and service improvement.

4. How we use your information

We use personal data to:

• Create and manage your account and subscription membership.
• Process competition entries, quizzes, draws, and prize claims.
• Collect subscription payments and manage billing through our payment partners.
• Deliver prizes and coordinate fulfilment with merchants where applicable.
• Send service emails (for example account verification, subscription status, winner notifications, and claim reminders).
• Send marketing communications only where you have given consent.
• Comply with legal obligations and protect the security of our platform.

• Contract: to provide membership, competitions, and prize fulfilment you sign up for.

6. Payments

Subscription payments are processed by trusted third-party payment providers. Depending on your region and settings, this may include GoCardless (Direct Debit) and/or Stripe (card and digital wallet payments).

These providers collect and process payment information according to their own privacy policies. We receive limited payment status information needed to activate, maintain, or cancel your membership.

7. Marketing and sharing with merchants

Marketing communications from WinPig are optional. You can manage platform newsletter preferences in your member account.

If you give marketing consent for a specific merchant competition or offer, we may share your email address (and related consent record) with that merchant so they can send you marketing in line with your choice. You may withdraw consent at any time through your marketing preferences or by contacting us.

We do not sell your personal data.

8. Prize fulfilment and address data

If you win a competition, we may ask for your delivery address, phone number, and other details required to send your prize. This information is used to fulfil your prize and may be shared with the relevant merchant or fulfilment partner only as needed to complete delivery.

9. Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies for essential site functionality, security, preferences, and—where applicable—affiliate or analytics tracking. You can control non-essential cookies through your browser settings. Some features may not work correctly if cookies are disabled.

10. How long we keep your data

We retain personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including legal, accounting, and audit requirements. Competition entry and winner records may be kept for audit and regulatory purposes even after account closure where permitted by law.

12. Account deletion

Members may request deletion of their account through the Delete account option in the member account area (Profile / account settings). When you confirm deletion:

• Your account is marked as deleted and you lose access to the platform.
• Active subscriptions are cancelled through our payment provider where applicable.
• Your account record is retained in our database in a deactivated state for audit, billing, and legal compliance; personal marketing use stops.

13. International transfers

Some service providers (for example payment, email, or hosting partners) may process data outside the UK. Where this occurs, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place as required by UK GDPR.

14. Children's privacy

WinPig is not intended for children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of our services after changes means you accept the updated policy.
